Re: PS brushes

August 15, 2008 by idrawgirls

if you using opacity lower than 70% I would recommend soft edge *if you want the color to blend.
If you paint over 70% you can get away with hard edge.

Sometimes I paint on normal layer on top, and use soft edge brush to erase.

Make sense?

Re: Poll: Old or new community, which one do you prefer?

August 2, 2008 by idrawgirls

I know there are more involvment of people in the old one...this one is a little too big.
I can switch back if you think that will be better.
Do you still have admins access on that blog?

Thanks man!  I often look for old master (sergent, zorn) for inspiration in painting, comp, lighting and skills.  I also read books by Richard Smidth numerous times.  I also look for inspiration from Old manga, anime and comics...1970s, 1980s, and 1990s....all the new ones sometimes (most new anime also derives from these older architypes.)  Also I look around on line for awesome artists like Graig, Sparth, Vyle, etc...too many to mention.
I love Ferzetta, Mucha...Terada
The longer you get involve in art...the more you will know where to look for inspiration.  I can only show you a glimpse of what I have in my head.

Thanks again,
peace!
